Hello!

My little boy is just coming up to 11 months and is not weight bearing. He is not crawling yet, but rolls everywhere 😂 .

He has got his year review next week with the HV, I just wondered if anybody’s else’s little ones were the same?

Unfortunately he has had a rough year and has been in hospital 3 times with bronchitis 😢.

thank you

Not exactly but my little boy is 9 months only just started crawling and that's more of an army crawl don't think he will do the classic crawl now. He gets around and that's all he cares about rolled everywhere for ages b4 too he was quite content with his rolling every where lol

My friends baby wasn't weight bearing at that age and he didn't crawl till gone 1 he's 17 months now and doing it all just fine. Don't worry they all do it differant times.

My LO was like this, never crawled but bum shuffled around a year and finally started standing (bearing weight) / cruising about 14 month and walking independently by 18 months. A little behind the norm at the time but they are running round like a lunatic now at two to make up for it 😂

Mine didn't crawl until he was 11 months and didn't walk until he was 17 months. Nothing "wrong" with him he just took longer. He's now 4 and won't sit still🙈he plays with a 6 year old in our street and can keep up when running so it's done him no harm being a bit later to get going.

My friend’s DD never crawled or cruised and didn’t walk until she was 18 months old. She just stood up one day and started toddling! She’s 15 now and regularly wins cross country races so don’t worry!

Thank you all very much for the replies.

I think he must just be happy rolling everywhere at the moment. 😀

I think the not crawling is a bit of a red herring. Crawling had been removed from the milestones as its such an predictor.

No bearing weight at 11 months is more of a concern. I would take them to the GO and ask them to check his hips and either the GP or HV should refer him to physio.

Has the HV asked you to fill out the 12 month Ages & Stages form ahead of the appointment?

Sorry GP not GO.
