does anyone know any legal waffle to help me bedazzle ds with?

he wants his ears pierced. he is eleven. i have told him he can when he is 35, and not a day before.
in old romance novels, they used to be something that the heroine couldnt inherit until she was 35, unless she married, (or some such twuddle). so, can anyone come up with something legal sounding to befuddle ds through this phase?

A person is not allowed to physically disfigure themselves until they are at the age of legal majority.

just tell him its really really not cool for boys to have their ears pierced anymore and his friends will all laugh at him!

i have told him no. he knows it is no. but it is a sort of joke between us. he wants more and more reasons why he cant have it, other than me sayihng not.
i like the 'age of legal majority'.
