He's always been a bit sweaty, particulary his feet, and when he's asleep against me his hair gets soaking wet, but now he's crawling it's constant, he's perma-clammy all over- is it normal for him to be SO sweaty (it's not hot in here) he doesn't have a temperature, seems fine but he is teething, is it teething related or is he just a betty swollocks?

hiya

since about 8m dd has got sweaty-head when she sleeps on us, and sweaty back (eww) when asleep in the cot (even with expensive airflow mattress, room at 16C, only a sleepsuit on etc etc)

can't shed any light on why though, although it seems like it's always worse when she needs to poo...

hi mrsbadger, hope you're both doing well! just a bit of parent paranoia going on because I'm worried I'm not recognising teething pain (two have popped through without me realising, so didn't realise why he was acting up and assumed he was being awkward, poor boy) feel guilty now

So sweating not related to teething pain? sorry crap typing james asleep sweatily on my right arm

DD2 (11 mths) is getting 8 teeth at once!!! and is even more of a sweaty pig than normal. She also has a fairly high Calpol level right now, mind you. DD1 always wakes up soaked in sweat, don't remember her being worse when she teethed but we never had trouble with her teething (not having 8 at once helped, probably). Sweaty 3 year old has never seemed bothered by sweatiness once she had language to complain, hope they all grow out of it!

My ds is 10 months old and is one sweaty little monster. Always has been and judging by his big, hairy, sweaty (but lovely) father, always will be. Everything you've said applies with him- the feet, the hair...

If he's on the go more than usual it could just be all that hard work. And I did find he sweated a little more when teething but his temp never shot up worryingly.

I wouldn't worry- probably just a betty swollocks as you say. As long as his temp is fine I would just put him in a single layer & let him stew away.
