First postpartum period

i just want to get some opinions or I don’t really know what.. I guess I just want to know if this can be normal ?
Postpartum bleeding stopped at 5 weeks, started my period at 6 weeks (stopped breastfeeding at 3 weeks) then it’s pretty much been stopping and starting since then (baby almost 10 weeks)!
First period was 3 days of intense bleeding and then it just randomly stopped (no tapering off like a normal period), then had a couple of days break, and another day of bleeding, and again few days break, then another day of bleeding.
When it started again the third time, I went straight to the doctor who prescribed progesterone pills for ten days and said that will stop the bleeding, and to come back when my next period (or rather withdrawal from the progesterone) starts. Well it didn’t stop the bleeding and I bled for 5 days, like a normal period. It stopped on Sunday. On Wednesday I had some brown spotting, it’s now Friday, I’m still taking the progesterone (last day today) and it’s started up again!
I will of course be going back to the doctor next week but she’s off until Tuesday so I can’t get any answers until then. Can this be normal ? Is it just my hormones going crazy ? I had two back to back pregnancies if that makes a difference (16 months between births, c section)

I was on the progesterone only pill before and after pregnancy. Before pregnancy I bled a few days a year usually if I had spent the night at one of my sister's houses. The body is weird. After pregnancy my period returned a few months after I stopped breastfeeding and when my BMI returned to the normal range having gone very underweight. Now I bled every 14 days for 3-5 days. This continued for 12 months, I had a few tests done with the GP and nothing problematic was found. I then had 12 months of either bleeding every 14 days or 28 days then settled at every 28 days until I stopped the pill to conceive when I kept a 28 day cycle

For me at least my periods before and after pregnancy were very different

I had intermittent bleeding for 12 weeks post c section and it turned out low iron was the cause. I’d take an iron tablet and see how the next few days go, then get back to gp if it hasn’t eased up

I’m taking pregnacare new mum vitamins, which have iron in them and they also did blood tests before releasing me from the hospital which showed no deficiency, but I guess that could have changed in the last 9 weeks!

I’ll try to eat some more meat, I am on a diet and have lost quite a bit of weight in the last month I did wonder if that could have something to do with it
