Dad palming off DC on his one day

My child sees her dad every Saturday for 8 hours, I found out through a friend that on his one day, he lied about the child's whereabouts and gave her to his mother for the day whilst he went to watch a football game.
Am I unreasonable for being annoyed by this? Imagine being 4 years old and thinking your spending the day with your dad, and then he leaves you with someone else.

He does sound like a particularly shit parent who is prioritising his own enjoyment over the company of his DD but unfortunately there is nothing you can do unless you think she’s unsafe.

Shes probably better off with granny then him tbh…

Play the long game. When she grows up and you have a lovely relationship and she makes minimal effort for him, he will see then he screwed up
