Please no judgement, my child is 4 and still has a dummy.
Any advice for how we get rid of it? We have had lots of discussions with them about it having to go soon.
TIA

Hello, we finally got rid just the other week. My boy is nearly 4 and we did dummy fairy. Explained the dummy would be left out for the fairy and he got a present in return. Very bad first night and a week of early wake ups then back to normal. Good luck!

Dummy fairy and then COLD TURKEY. There is zero point taking stuff like that away if you then give it back at some point.

It might be tough but you have to stick with it. They're also old enough to understand that it's gone.

Yeah, we went with the dummy fairy for both my boys. They were still wanting dummy at home after school😮 aged 5. They are 27 and 24 now, with the most beautiful teeth.
Build up to it over the course of a few days and leave a nice gift
Be strong, prepare for demands
Good luck
