Hi Folks, new mum to be- desperate to get things right! I would love to use cloth nappies. Investigated them at the baby show recently in Birmingham and was most impressed by- Little green earthlets. I see they are not on your list in the reviews. Can anyone please advise me as I was hoping to buy some soon. Thanks

aven't any experience of those.
We used Bambino Mio. They were okay but a shaped nappy would've been easier, imo.

You cant go far wrong with a shaped nappy for instance tots bots and a motherease wrap, i also use pocket nappies during the day whilst out as they do not need a wrap simply stuffing with an absorbant booster/insert. These are good for wriggly babies as its a one piece nappy and quicker to put on and off.
Have you thought about contacting a nappy advisor to have a look at the different types, and find out if your local council offers a money off incentive.

I use Baby Beehinds. They're really absorbent and nice and colourful. The downside is that they take a while to dry, especially in the winter. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone who didn't have a drier.

lots of nappies and good advice here, run by a mumsnetter (Flame)

Little Green Earthlets are resellers for Motherease, whose wraps are totally fantastic but whose nappies I find overrated (esp the onesize ones).

A shaped nappy + a ME wrap is hard to go wrong with - I like the ones from Easy Peasy (Bimbles and Bumbles) as they're fleece lined so they stay dry next to the skin.

Do the questionnaire on The Nappy Lady and she what she comes up with for you.

Completely agree with MrsBadger. Bimbles / Bumbles by Easy Peasy are very good and Motherease Wraps are the best. MEOS were no good for us at all.

Look here www.realnappycampaign.com/, type in your postcode and see if you have a local nappy project that hires out trial kits. It is a very good way to try out a lot of different nappies to see what suits YOU and your baby best for a minimal outlay. Also have a look into whether your local council offers financial incentives for using cloth - many do. Your MW or HV should have some information for you about cloth nappies.

IME what look good in the cataglogues is not neccessarily the best option. MEOS looked good in priciple for us but they were no way near absorbant enough and the fit was very poor on my DD.
