why do you think you need to take him to a&e
is he happy and alert? Feeding?
it sounds like a minimal drop which didn’t even bother him

No. You don’t need to take him to A&E.

he didn’t cry so it didn’t bother him and 5cm is a very very small drop.

is he awake? Feeding? All the usual stuff?

Sending hugs as something similar happened to me in the early days. Honestly, your baby will be fine. If you need 100% peace of mind though, take him to A&E.

Try not to beat yourself up about it too much - it's difficult I know!

Don't take him to A and E for peace of mind, it's not an accident or am emergency. Ring 111 if you don't think your baby is feeding it behaving normally.
