Filling self care cup as a parent

Just wondering what little or big things people do to fill their cups as parents?

:) 🫖 💃🏼 💆🏼‍♀️

No judgement, just for chats and ideas to bounce off.

When I get a couple of hours I love a good everything shower.. slap a bit of gradual tan on whilst listening to s podcast and then hang out in my dressing gown and watch something I want to watch.

Try and get my steps in where possible as this helps with sleep.

Same as I did before I became a parent, tbh. Walks, art, reading, seeing friends, good food, cinema, therapy.

DH and I alternate weekend days to give each other big breaks. So on a Saturday I get a block of 3-4 hours to myself and on a Sunday, he gets the same. We do whatever we did pre-baby, friends, swimming, exercise whatever.

Skin care, eyelash & eyebrow serum every night, no matter what. Shower every morning & tinted SPF, only flex on the shower is if I am going straight to the gym which I like to do a couple of times a week.

I just laugh in people's faces when they suggest things like self care and putting your own oxygen mask on first. Two kids with additional needs really doesn't allow for that.
