Dd is about to turn 4, looking for some present inspiration. What do your 4 year olds love playing with? Does anyone have any presents that have gone down really well?
Dd already has lots of Sylvanian families and Playmobil and really enjoys small world play.

Doctors kit gets used daily here, with a variety of soft toys and her little small world people. Seriously, top present if you don’t have one. I’ve chucked a few random bits into ours as well to pad it out (old tooth brushes, old sunglasses to be scanners, little pots).

This magnatiles ball run has been popular, but she’s got more into it now she’s closer to 5. I feel it had lots of room for growth. We also bought a regular magnatiles set with it for added bits. https://www.smythstoys.com/uk/en-gb/toys/sensory-toys/sensory-play/magnetic-tiles-ball-run-125-piece-set/p/236068

Also, The Tindims books. Chapter books with LOADS of pictures, ensemble cast of lovable characters, hardly any peril, and a really lovely environmental message. https://www.booktrust.org.uk/book-recommendations/bookfinder/the-tindims-of-rubbish-island/

Dress up clothes, kids jewellery and handbags are a huge hit with my 4 year old.
She loves arts and crafts sets and foam bath stickers like the dress up characters or mixed up animals.
She loves bingo style memory games and pairs.
She loves jigsaws- we are on 60 piece ones currently,
She loves her light up scooter and her gardening set.
She loves her den building set and play tent.
She loves her flashing light wellies and her colour changing umbrella.
Biggest hit toy I've gotten recently is a little live pets really real puppy- that thing hasn't left her side for months! The animatronic movement on its eyes are really special.

Dressing up clothes are the top choice here. We've also got musical/sound books, sand art kits, make your own fairy wings, paint your own X. DD is also starting to get into boardgames - her favorites are 'Don't be a scaredy Bear', Goodnight Kisses (Djeco) & Incy Wincy Spider (Orchard Toys).

Thanks everyone for the ideas, think I’m going to do her a little craft trolley and upgrade her play tent to a bigger one 😊
