Hi, i am a first time mum and we have 11 months old baby boy. He is always on the move. Like ALWAYS. He doesnt walk yet but he is non stop crawling places, opening everything, hanging on stuff. He doesnt sit for a minute. He cannot even eat without distraction. So every time he is in a highchair he has to either play with something or i give him to watch a little bit of miss Rachel otherwise he wouldn’t eat anything. He would just scream and try to get out. I mean, im happy he is so full od life I am just worried is this normal behaviour? I go to loads of classes with him and i see other babies his age who seems to be a lot more calmer. Do you think its normal or am i just overthinking?

Totally normal, I have one like this too.

Sounds pretty normal. Mine hated being confined to a high chair too. Some kids are more physical, others more verbal etc. My DC is school aged now and still loves to run and climb!

Just turned 11 month old here too and incredibly active since he was 6 months, when he started crawling. I should have seen it coming as he was rolling at 3 months!

Re the food, we had this until recently. I decided to take all toys away and give finger food instead. So he has his usual porridge/pasta, whatever, but also toast/banana/etc. It worked like a charm. When he starts moaning too much, I end the meal. If he's actually still hungry, he'll point towards the food and we'll sit down again.

Re the moving, you have to accept it and start taking him out to soft play a lot.

Mine started walking independently now too so we have to be out ALL THE TIME. We have a smallish house and I find when we're home, he's just constantly trying to do all the dangerous things.

Keep him occupied with stuff, laundry, etc. It's constant.

It is absolutely exhausting, I really feel you. I see people with chill babies who are only just now crawling at 10/11 months and I'm so jealous!!! My DH has been away for 2 weeks too so I'm shattered.

I would stop Ms Rachel and all screens now. It's way too early, and you are creating a rod for your own back because soon he won't be able to focus on anything without a screen which is much, much worse.
