SIL keeps cancelling

My SIL adores my DD, totally spoils her and DD is all over her whenever we are together as a family. When we see her she always offers to watch DD and seems to want to see her more, however any time we have asked she cancels on the day about 90% of the time. It always seems like a legit emergency or illness so I never get too bothered by this but i do avoid relying on her. But then she seemed offended when I needed a babysitter and said I was going to ask my sister. Today she was meant to take DD (for less than 2 hours) and had sent me a voice note yesterday for DD telling her how excited she was to see her etc. Then this morning has cancelled again. Its no big deal for me but I dont want her to start upsetting DD by lettjng her down. I just said its fine but maybe I should say something? I try to avoid conflict as much as possible! Or do I just not ask her again? I dont want to keep DD from her as they have a lovely relationship

If it’s genuine I wouldn’t worry too much. Children need to know things change sometimes etc. I do think it’s different if she is just flaky and generally unreliable consistently, but if it’s real reasons that’s just how it is. From a personal point of view, I wouldn’t really rely on her though 😅
