What to do with 5 month old on rainy days?

Hello. my 5mo is very alert and always wants to be doing something and gets bored of the same thing after about 5 mins. I have so much stuff for her now eg - rocking chair, bouncing chair, play nests, baby gyms, door bouncer, baby walker, playmats, boxes of toys etc. But still find by late afternoon, I have run out of things to do with her and she gets bored if she does the same thing more than once or twice in a day. Finding it hard to get much done as she needs so much attention. I do take her out but it is getting hard with naps etc. She gets so grumpy if she doesnt have a good hour or so in the morning, which then makes toddler groups etc really hard as when we have been, she is just grumpy. If I put her in a baby carrier, she enjoys it if I am constantly walking, but the second I stop, she starts winging. I have been ill over the last few days and also preparing for my ofsted inspection tomorrow, for childminding so getting a bit exhusted now!

Any ideas of ways to keep LO amused? I am happy to sit and play with her etc, which I do alot, but just need a bit of a break and need to get some bits done! It is also becoming hard to so much as have a conversation with somebody as she moans as soon as the attention goes off her!

I have a 4mo and am not sure that they need so much input at this stage. I'm certainly not thinking about taking him to any groups just yet. At this age, they are usually still happy to sit and watch you, listen to you chat to them etc. Babies can be overstimulated so don't feel you need to be doing something all the time, that need will come later!!

i take my 4mo to loads of baby groups, gets me out and knackers him out, did a musical one where i was helping him shake a maraca

dunno how this will be reacted to but i think you cant entertain the 24 hours a day, how about a chill out in front of the tv or just letting them have a little whinge otherwise they do get too demanding for attention, i know when mine comes home from being at my mums where he is fussed over and amused non stop he is so much more demanding
