7yo birthday party

7yo wants a craft birthday party. That’s fine, loads of ideas and we’ve booked a scout hut for it. However I don’t think it’s necessarily going to entertain everyone who is attending to the same extent. Are there any other activities we could have around that won’t disrupt the crafts too much but will keep some of the more active kids entertained? There isn’t really space for ball games, struggling to think of things that might keep them going through 45 mins ish of craft activities. There will be a games section of the party with parachute games, piñata, pass the parcel etc. Maybe giant jenga sort of thing?

Not a lot of budget to play with so no bouncy castle, entertainer etc!

How many kids are coming? Maybe some giant board games like snakes and ladders to go with giant jenga?

I think that sounds fine OP

They can entertain themselves with games and music for 45 minutes surely

Probably 20ish, he’s keen to invite the full class plus a few non school friends…

yes you’d think they would entertain themselves, I’m just paranoid 😅

Just thought of maybe a tin can beanbag set up and guess the pom-poms in the jar?

My DD recently had an arts and crafts party, we had air dry clay as the main craft and it went really well. Also had make your own keyring and colouring. Outdoor games before and after plus food, filled the time really nicely.
