Uppababy Vista v2 question

Ive been given a 2nd hand one for my granddaughter.
The carrycot hood is either up or down, it doesnt seem to have increments like other push airs I've had in the past.
Is this how they are or do I need to replace the hood?
Id quite like to be able to have it half way etc

No that's correct, its either up or down. The toddler seat hood moves to different positions. Why do you want it to move to different positions out of curiosity? I don't think it makes much difference when they are a newborn to have it at increments, but maybe that's just me.
