my daughter has her pre school injections including second dose of MMR. It’s been one week today since she had them and from day 4 she has had fever of 38’6, very ratty, runny nose and puffy eyes. It’s shows it’s a side effect but has anyone else’s toddler experinaced this? It’s fair to say we are exhausted and sleepless nights! She’s having nurofen and calpol combined to help and it works until it wears off then she is back feeling poorly again. Any advice or tips would be great just to make me feel better that someone else has been through the same and to tell me it gets better, aha! Thanks, please no nasty comments just a mum looking for support.

When you say combined, do you mean at the same time? As I found it worked much better to alternate so that they could have a dose of something pretty much every four hours. Also just low key pottering outside - not high energy stuff like farm parks, just a mooch around botanical gardens, feed the ducks, that sort of thing. Purely because being inside with an off colour child is harrrrrd!

I agree, stagger the painkillers, don’t give them together.
