DS (23m) gets hand down nappy at night and moves willy = wet bed!

DS, being a typical male, likes to hold his willy at night. This generally means he manages to manouvere it so that it's pointing out the leg-hole of his nappy, or it's poking out of the waistband. Anyway, practically every night for the past week, this has resulted in him wetting the bed, as when he wees it's nowhere near the absorbent part of the nappy.
We have tried various types of nappy, but it doesn't seem to matter whether it's a pull up or normal disposable nappy.
Does anyone have any ideas how we can stop this?

Handcuff his hands to the bedhead??

Sorry that is very unhelpful of me... What if he is wearing all in one pj's so that he can get to his willy? Does that make any difference?

can't get to his willy

All in one PJ's or a sleeping bag would be a great solution- however DS insists on being able to rub his tummy, so anything that prevents that results in much wailing of 'rub my tummmy, rub my tummy' until he can manage to get his hand in there. (He is a nightmare in dungarees for this reason!)

we had DS1 in a vest for a long time because of this problem - a popper underneath one. M&S do them up to 2-3

sorry about that - don't know what happened there!

I have this problem with DS, he is now 2.3 and the popper vests are no good as he is dexterous enough to undo it. Most mornings he has taken his nappy off as well as a wet bed.

He now has a waterproof sheet , and I keep spare pjs and nappy by the bed.
We have also moved bathtime from pm to am.

Sorry not very helpful. but you are not alone in the constant washing cycle because of the male obsession with the penis
