Losing weight, breastfeeding, 12 months pp

I have an 12 month old, still breastfeeding. I lost all the baby weight by 6 months, purely breastfeeding and walking and eating homemade food. I went back to work at 6 months (I live abroad, that's all the mat leave I got) and I have absolutely piled on the weight. I am huge. I am tall so I look like a giant. I've started going to the gym at lunch time and have cut out all sweets and alcohol but I've now put on more fat as I think I am eating more to compensate. My face is super pudgy (the dark under eye bags don't help).

Thing is, I'm so sleep deprived (he's been teething on and off for the past 2 months, currently cutting tooth no.8), I don't know where to start with meal planning. I have so little time Mon-Fri and tbh, the weekends are even harder as he's a ball of energy!

Any tips? Any easy plans you've found that actually work for a working parent? I did the body coach years ago and I do love Joe Wicks but the meals were A LOT of work (and I say that as someone who cooks a lot anyway).

Keep it simple would be my advice. Don't try for complicated recipes or meals.

You can airfry/fry/oven bake some chicken or fish and steam some veg easily enough. That's healthy and balanced. Adding in a little bit of potato/rice/pasta/noodles is easy if wanted/needed.

For lunch, eggs are quick and easy or throw some stuff onto a plate (some protein and a quick salad).

For breakfast something like skyr with fruit and a bit of granola is easy, quick, no prep. Or overnight oats. Or porridge.

Snack on fruit and veg.

Drink lots of water.

All of this (apart from maybe a salad) is great for a one year old to eat too so you don't need to cook twice.

What wonderful advice @NuffSaidSam-no nonsense, bish bash bosh!
@TeddyRocknRoll123- I feel you, I piled on the pounds after 2 years of breastfeeding. Working on it now but was quite a shock to me! I still need to get moving more (I miss my mat leave long walks with the pram..)
