Dummy hoarder

My 6.5m old has a dummy at night although generally will spit it out when sleeping however she's started hoarding them. I've always put a few in the cot so if she wakes she will get them and settle herself but I've noticed now she has started to grab them and hide them under her when she sleeps 😂. Is this normal?! Has anyone else's baby done this? If it isn't hoarding them it's chucking them across the room - it's quite impressive. Is this the start of the worst?

Maybe it’s a reassurance thing if she’s wanting to hold onto them? My little one never did that but came on to say that when he was this age we introduced a fabric dummy clip that we’d clip onto his top and it was an absolute game changer, when he woke up without it he’d just put it back on and we went from dozens of wake ups per night to none practically overnight. If you try it just don’t use the beaded clips as they’re a choking hazard but the fabric ones are fine!

@twobabiesandapup is it just a normal fabric dummy clip? What kind of clip (wooden or plastic)? She has a thing of pulling off the clips to knaw on the clip end when teething 🙃. I don't know why all sleeping sacks don't just come with a double popper thing that you can add the dummy clip to?! We have a couple of silky dummy clips but she likes to suck and loves tags the so I got her a taggy blanket but she's not interested in it! She's a difficult one to please 😂

I know you’d think they’d have created a fool proof method by now wouldn’t you! These were the ones I bought and he couldn’t get them off his sleeping bag so they stayed on all night. For some reason it’s put me on the Amazon US website but they’re exactly the same as the ones I bought - https://www.amazon.com/Pacifier-Silicone-Soothers-Teething-Essentials/dp/B0CDR3ZKHL/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?crid=1ADHJQUXM3CR2&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.9jEDGXmn_7Xp54kF3JbmV963syC5EsZaPYIJMUGaA0NTWKq9R8WSRW2U_zQcIJpG4Z6ftTqUwUYTwUJW6hlOfWnknw3PwUh-j6uS4a8GTEUawNxlgC5cQCNDuPoQ52SRUJMSBPUmo8hxncRjc_43hPxLE-f8O5f8lUMC3d3h0vRWAv28YbvMpF3UaK3mosUG0WO7FcMTpZE9Y35yazdWjA.QsExTfNgPlZCG4ebvhcdwHgXhoBQWR44zt_hq05Ggt4&dib_tag=se&keywords=dummy+clip&qid=1753730293&sprefix=dummy+clip%2Caps%2C182&sr=8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9waG9uZV9zZWFyY2hfYXRm&psc=1

He still uses them now for his dummy at night and he’s 20 months old now!
