Pocket Money 6 Year Old

How do you do pocket money?

DD6 loves a list; basic stuff but she has to check her book bag to make sure she has her reading books, water bottle etc. ready for school & at home time has to hang her stuff up on the peg, put her shoes away. She has to make her bed and put her clothes in the washing basket in the morning - we've also being growing some plants in the garden that she is in charge of watering most days.

She gets money from her lovely grandparents for holidays and general spends but Im wanting to teach her about money. I was thinking about giving her a small amount of pocket money for her to put away for holiday (we loosely do this now) and some to spend on sweets, comics etc. Does anyone do this - there are some money boxes on Esty that do "spend, save etc" Im sure I could rustle up some pots for this.

Probably sounds daft but If like DD to have a heathy relationship money as soon as she can as I had an awful relationship with money so I'm conscious of getting it right with her.

Get her a go Henry and you can add tasks. Dd got one when she turned 6 and it’s excellent for her. She can log onto the app and tick off tasks to get extra money.
