Is this a lip tie?

My DD is almost 1 and I just noticed she has this piece of skin between her front teeth, and was thinking it’s possibly a lip tie? I’m taking her to the docs on Monday anyways just wanted to know if anyone else thought so too!

Also, if anyone has had experience with one, will they cut it? And will it create a gap between her front teeth?

Looks like one to me. It will stop the teeth meeting according to DS’ orthodontist, we had his cut successfully.

Following as just noticed during the week my son has this and I didnt know what it was, and then come across this thread by chance! Has a noticeable gap in front teeth. He's only 1 so not been to a dentist or anything yet but I wonder now should I get it looked at.

My dd has just been diagnosed with a upper lip tie. Been told they don't routinely cut it like tounge ties. She said make sure her dentists know as it can cause a gap in teeth but dentist is the person who sorts it

Everyone has a labial frenum or a lip tie. Hers is attached quite highly but this is relatively normal for young children. As her jaw grows the attachment can change.

If she still has a high attachment once all her adult teeth have come though, and she has a gap between her front teeth that she doesn't like she can have it cut. But I wouldnt worry about it before then
