Potty training going well at home - do I risk pants rather than nappies for nursery tomorrow?

Not sure what to do. My DT's are 2.9 and have suddenly taken great leaps forward in their potty training. No poos yet but have waited until their nighttime nappy goes on to do them.

They are at nursery from 9-3pm tomorrow - have only been using potties at home for last few days.

Would you put them in pants for nursery and take a huge bag of spare clothes? Or go for nappies?

This is only their third day at nursery and they are still quite shy there so I don't want to push them over the edge by getting them to have to ask for the loo as well..

Pregnant brain is preventing me making a decision - please help!

Have you thought about taking them in pants and then explaining your concerns to the nursery so that if they do get distressed they can put them in nappies again? My DS has just gone into pants and had been using the toilet for 4 days before going to nursery, didn't want him to go backwards so tried it out and it worked out fine...as long as you don't mind the extra washing!! Make sure they have plenty of chnages of clothes!

Pants. They'll take them to the loo very regularly if you tell them where the DTs are at - don't put them back in nappies now

Pants- other children using the potty at nursery will encourage them to do the same!
DD started potty training last bank holiday, and refused to use the potty all weekend, would only use the toilet. When she went to nursery on the tuesday though, because other children used it, she used the potty too- made our lives a little easier!
Well done twins!

could you put pull ups on him and ask the staff to take him regualy to the toilet

my ds is potty training and put him in pull ups for pre school so if he did have an accident his not distressed by it but staff can take him regualy and he will feel like a big boy still

as long as your DTs are enthusiastic about the toilet training process, i'd say definitely send them in pants - along with a pep talk beforehand! Good luck!

Oops, didn't get time to log on last night and chickened out this morning and sent them in nappies . But your advice is great and I will definitely go for pants next week..
