I'd wake him up - else he'll have you up all night

As long as LO isn't missing feeds regularly then I'd leave him to sleep.

cadelaide · 26/05/2008 14:26

i'd leave him

megandtyler · 26/05/2008 15:07

ok so i have left him to sleep
he's now been asleep four hours

i would wake myself. never did with dd1 and was up lots and night. did wake dd2 and had better nights. but that could just be a coincidence....

foxythesnowfox · 26/05/2008 15:12

What do you want to do? Four hours is a decent amount of time for a proper sleep.

I'd probably go in and give him a wee nudge to wake up, open the curtains a little and see if he stirs.

If he doesn't seem to want to wake up, perhaps give him another 30 minutes. At least he should wake up hungry and have a good feed!

cadelaide · 26/05/2008 15:12

I'd still leave.

Never wake a sleeping baby, that's my motto.

CarGirl · 26/05/2008 15:12

I always woke mine up in the day to make sure they were getting their 2-3 hourly feeds in and NEVER woke them between 7pm-7am and never had to feed them much at night at all (bf) could be coincidence of course.

megandtyler · 26/05/2008 15:16

he's so peaceful and he probably neds to catch up with some zzz's as he has been really crabby the last few days and has hardly slept in the day.
Dh turn for night feed perhaps i'll leave him another half hour

A sleep is as good as a feed thats what ive been told x

mumeeee · 26/05/2008 22:18

Leave him to slep. He will wake when he is hungry.

LuckySalem · 26/05/2008 22:20

I leave DD to sleep and she can sometimes have 6 hours in the day but still sleeps at night.
