How were you woken up this morning?

DS1 at 6am, comes into our room, climbs into my bed, pulling of the duvet, coughs VERY LOUDLY in my face without putting his hand up, loud enough to wake up DS2 in room next door.

Day commences.

How irritating is that?

ds1 now sleeps in my bed on account of him being able to open his safety gate. Woke up at 8.15 am as he shot out of bed.
I think ds2 got up a bit earlier with dh.

This morning was so dark that I stayed asleep until 8.30
Even the hamster was still up when we came downstairs.

This is very rare though. I normally have to force my children out of bed on school days, whereas on weekends/holidays they are up at 6 with the lark

I woke at 6.30....

DS was still asleep.... I came down and messed around on the PC. DH woke up and came down and the conversation went like this....

DH: Where are LGJ JRs presents ???

LGJ: I told you before......in my bloody car...

DH: And your bloody car is where......???

LGJ...Lightbulb moment........Emmmm in K's drive............

We had left the car last night after a BBQ....

DH had to drive back and rescue the gifts and wrap them...

Then the little wotsit, slept until 8.15....normally we are lucky to get 6.30 out of him. I was twitching, I wanted him awake, I was awake, so he should be as well.

I woke up around 8pm, next to my man, but with no children around me, as my lovely friend had them overnight!

I woke to the sound of Ds talking to himself about Star Wars. I thought it was about 7:30, but it was 8:15 .

Both girls were also awake but both playing quietly.

I was quite stunned, and rewarded them with bacon and egg sandwiches

I was woken at 3 am by the rain on the loft windows...and just as well because I realised my darling daughter had forgotten to cover the bloody rabbit hutch up.

Cue muggins, in her PJ's , in the pissing rain, on the patio.

7.45 am DS1 shouting "Dad....daaaad.....Err Yuk....Dad" for about 5 minutes before I realised dh (in another room with loud fan on to drown out the sound of ds2 waking in the night) couldn't/wouldn't hear him. Dreading what was prompting the err yuk comment i went in myself to see ds1 standing on the bed with his pj bottoms off and nappy round his ankles. Promptly replaced new nappy and sent him in to dh while I scuttled off back to bed and slept till 10.30 when ds2 woke up.
