Baby keeps accidentally banging head on cot at night

6 month baby keeps bumping his head accidentally at night waking him up i dont no what to do about it.

If it helps reassure, he’s not going to be able to bang it hard enough from his own momentum to cause any real injury and also it’s really common. I know that doesn’t help you if it’s disturbing sleep though. There isn’t really anything you can do because crib bumpers and the like aren’t safe, except put him in a travel cot that doesn’t have the hard sides.

I found my baby at that age world wriggle up the cot in the cold wee hours around 4am. When I did a late night feed, I would put them back at the foot and tuck an extra baby-safe layer over them - seemed to help.

The only advice I have is that you could try a travel cot instead

How long has he been doing it for? It's probably something that will pass soon enough, but don't put anything in the cot to stop him as it isn't safe
