I sent invitations out to 30 kids (the whole class) 2 weeks ago with the RSVP date of next Sunday 13th. We have had 10 yes and 2 no so far which is fine but given that it’s only a week away to the RSVP date, I feel like this is quite a low rate and might be the final number as I personally let people know 2 weeks before rsvp. I expected to have at least half confirmed by now.
It’s started making me anxious and stressed bad as this is my boy’s first party and all he asked was a party. He was gutted and upset that he didn’t have a party last year so I thought I am going to do a big party as he’s mostly been to big parties and he wanted the same.
I hired a hall so not pay per head but to me, it’s more about he wants lots of kids to be there to celebrate his birthday. I did invite some family & friends’ kids but I think he will realise not many kids from school have turned up if 11 is the final number. I don’t know maybe i am panicking!!
Do people tend to confirm nearer the RSVP date??
Do people just turn up without confirmation?
I am in the class group chat where I think about 10 parents are in so I may send a chase message nearer time but not sure what to say haha any ideas???
I don’t have any mum friends from school so it’s a bit of hard one for me!
