Ideas for 2.5 year old at home with a newborn

I have a 2.5 year old little boy and a few weeks ago just had my second baby. Next week i’m going to be doing it alone during the week (during the day) with both kids. And im frightened of my toddler feeling bored / left out while i deal with baby. He is very energetic and would love to be out the house all day everyday, but that’s not realistic. I have also just had a c section.

I have ideas so far like setting him up play dough station / colouring. But he also gets bored easy so i know i’ll need LOTS of ideas. He does have the odd bit of tv, but i am quite strict on this and limit it.

So if anyone has any ideas i can do at home for/with him to help me get through i would really appreciate it! Or just any tips in general on how to survive 🫠

Do you have a garden? If so, paddling pool etc
Inside, magnatiles and wooden train track are played the most here by my little boy. If you have a tuff tray you could set something up the evening before. Lots of ideas online.
Does he have a yoto or tonie box? Can be handy too
