She's hired the local municipal pool to use just for her dts?

Or she's got a pool temporarily installed in her garden?

Seriously you have to keep a secret diary of all the crazy things she does . LOL what next hiring out the local cinema for the kids or better still hiring out a theme park . Is she Michael jackson in disguise . LOL . Keep that diary .

ExtraFancy · 25/05/2008 16:30

4 months?! They'll only be in the water for about 20 minutes before they both start screeching, you mark my words

Jazzicatz · 25/05/2008 16:31

me23 · 25/05/2008 16:34

omg how bloody stupid! she's got money to waste.

tortoiseSHELL · 25/05/2008 16:36

I heard the most fab story about PFBs - an ex-colleague of mine told the story about when they were invited to a couple's house for dinner - they had a child at the same playgroup as my colleague. As the dinner went on, the conversation moved on to the extreme lengths some people go to to provide an elaborate party. My colleague regaled them with the tale of someone he knew who had hired a boat for his child's 2nd birthday. He spoke with ridicule of how it was ludicrous, total waste of money, etc etc etc. He kept saying 'I can't remember who it was - can you?' to his wife who replied by shaking her head. Eventually he said 'I know - it was some clown at playgroup.'

When they left, his wife said 'Why did you go on and on about that boat? It was THEM.' He said 'well why didn't you stop me?' and she replied 'I was kicking you hard throughout' - 'no you weren't' - she had been kicking the host hard, all the while my colleague was insulting their party!

I just looked online, and found a municipal pool where it's £50 to hire it for an hour (you can hire it for parties.)

madmuggle · 26/05/2008 10:23

It's the same to hire our local pool for parties too, you get an hour of pool time for about fifty quid. It's usually the small pool Mental, but whatever floats her boat

Must look out my costume, I could do with taking the kids swimming soon

Saturn74 · 26/05/2008 10:28

"just heard that she hired out a pool just for them to go swimming"

Sounds like a great idea.
It's much nicer to think you're treading water in fresh urine created by your own family, rather than by some distressingly hairy old bloke with baggy Speedos.

Or perhaps she's a mermaid and didn't want to give the game away?

SmugColditz · 26/05/2008 10:31

Ohhhh wonderful

Jazzicatz, your mad SIL can join the Mumsnet ranks of Nutter Relatives, allong with PinkChampagne's parents, WigWamBam's MIL and GreenSleeves' mother!

Vivace · 26/05/2008 10:31

Maybe she didn't want anyone to see her tummy in her cossie?

MrsCarrot · 26/05/2008 10:32

do you mean a timeshare?

I know loads of people who do this, pay a yearly subscription and have an hour or even half an hour that is their time every week and quite a few families share.

I wouldn't like it as I wouldn't want to go at the same time for the whole year but I can see why people do.

FrannyandZooey · 26/05/2008 10:37

there's a small local pool which you can hire for up to 10 families for about £50, I think

it always seems like a really nice idea

nobodyputsBBinthecorner · 26/05/2008 13:40

shes hardly hurting anyone, perhaps its just easier for her if she can afford it then good for her, you sound mean and like you want to have something to gossip about her for imo
