Moving 4 month olds back to size 1 teats?

We are using tommee tippee bottles and around a month ago tried baby on size 2’s but they were too fast for him and he struggled witj them so we went back to true size 1’s which were fine. Yesterday I tried again with the size 2’s and he’s noted struggling as much but his clothes end up soaking so I think maybe it’s stil coming out too quick? Is it worth just moving back and keeping on the size 1’s even though he’s 4 months?

The sizes don’t have a a correlation with age. Use whatever works! We used variflow the whole way through

I never realised that there were different sized teats until way after I’d stopped bottle feeding DS. We just used the same bottles from Day 1 and never had an issue.

Came on to say similar. I EBF but baby took a dummy and when I tried the size up at whatever the recommended age was he spat it out and continued to do so. In the end he had the same size dummy until he gave it up one day at 2 and a half! So a newborn size the whole time. I wondered if it would affect his mouth more being the “wrong” size, but it’s what he wanted and his teeth are perfect at age 4 now. I think babies want whatever size or shape teat they want and as long as they’re happy it doesn’t matter.
