Getting baby into cot

Sorry to ask a question which has no doubt been answered a million times before but I have co-slept with my baby, occasionally placing her in the next to me crib. She’s 10 months now and I’ve tried letting her go to sleep next to me (to breast feed) and then putting her in her cot (big baby/toddler cot at the bottom of the bed) for as long as then possible, allowing me to stretch out. She’s wakes up easily when I try to transfer her and cries in her cot when she wakes through the night so back to bed she comes (to feed and go back to sleep). Any tips on how I can get her to stay in her cot for longer? I have never let her cry it out at all and can’t even imagine it. She’s started to roll anround in her sleep now so the bed is just not safe. Any tips welcome!

You can put mattress on the floor, get rid of the bed. I have a friend who did this but I'd hate that personally.

There are also these really high bedrails that zip all around. So they turn the bed into a massive cot. You could try that? Have a look on amazon.

Will she nap in her cot in the day? That's normally a good start.

You can also comfort by patting, holding their hand - there are gentle ways to help babies sleep in their own space, if that's what you want.
