We are looking into private speech and language therapy our 2 years and 3 month old child, he has autism, I just wondered if anyone went down this route at this age? It’s very expensive and we are happy to pay if it’s really going to benefit him but not sure if we should wait until he’s a louud older? Thank you so much :)

I would save your money til he is older. Lots of ideas online for developing communication skills.

Work on joint attention, turn taking, ready steady go activities, anticipation rhymes, pause for a reaction. Look at choice making use choice boards or photos of items to request. Parallel play, modelling play

Google Intensive Interaction and Attention Autism.. Use high interest items like balloons and bubbles.
Make a Tornado tube bottle with empty bottles and a tornado tube. Great for ready steady go.
Buy a Tuff spot for sensory play.

Look at the book The Out of Synch child has fun.
