4 week old baby non stop feeding

My baby is 4 weeks tomorrow…
formula fed cow and gate comfort milk
He is finishing 4oz bottles every 3 hours…..
He does go 4 hours on the first stretch at night.

The doctor said his being over fed? However his screaming for the bottle and content whilst feeding.

Doesn’t sound overfed to me?? Baby is only four weeks old! What does HV and midwife say, get another docs opinion? You know your baby best , my baby was literally on my boob every hour at that age for milk x

mine drinks breastmilk every hour and a half. Your fine that much formula every 3-4 hrs is fine

I am going to speak to HV and MW tomorrow. I just don’t want to make him sick

If he's lasting the three hours between feeds, and sleeps well, he isn't being overfed.

Does he drain the whole bottle? If he does, offer an extra ounce. Don't pay attention to the feeding table on the tin. Let your baby's appetite guide you.

BTW I bet your doctor hasn't got a baby of their own.

What does your baby weigh now?

Just back from the doctors… his on a special formula now but his very unsettled
