My DC was a crap sleeper until he was 2. Then almost overnight, became a really good sleeper. He's been sleeping happily in his own bed all night for about 7 months, with the odd bit of tossing and turning but going straight back to sleep. An early riser but that doesn't bother me.
The past week he's woken up every single night and will not go back to sleep in his own bed - only if he comes in with me (this is what would happen every night before he turned two). I thought it was just the heat bothering him but it was a nice temperature in his room last night and he still woke up.
I tried sitting on his bedroom floor for a while in the hope he'd just go back to sleep. After about 20 minutes I stood up and he immediately started crying again. I had to take him in with me.
I really don't want my great sleeper to end up only sleeping with me again.
Has anyone else been through similar?
