2yo won't go in the cot

Hi all, my 2yo DD has suddenly started refusing to go in her cot. We've tried putting her down earlier, putting her down later, giving her toys/books in the cot & staying in the room with her but nothing works, she just screams the place down as soon as we put her in. I don't know if it's just the heat and she's just too warm but has anyone got any other ideas? We now dread nap times and bed times 🤦🏼‍♀️ We've also tried putting her in in just her nappy incase she was too warm but still not happy. Thanks everyone!

Ok time to move to a toddler bed

Maybe she's ready for a bed? My DS moved into a bed at 2yo because he learnt to climb out of the cot.

Yes - toddler bed and stairgate across the bedroom doorway.

Agree well worth trying a bed. But also consider teething? My 2yo recently did this for three weeks and it turned out to be molars. As soon as they erupted he was happy going to sleep again. Just suggesting that in case it's actually anticipation of being left alone in pain for your toddler, rather than the type of bed per se.

At 2 she’s probably got no room in a baby cot anymore! Get her a proper bed with a toddler pillow and duvet.

Ready for bed and not needing naps are both possibilities
