Comfort packs for Maclaren Techno XT

I've just ordered a Techno XT (thanks MNers who advised on this topic!) and want one of the funky rainbow stripe comfort packs - am I being daft?! Is the baby just going to cover up all the padding part so it won't be seen anyway? I know it doesn't matter what colour the buggy is but there were all these funky-coloured buggies in the shop and I was a bit disappointed that the Techno only came in grey or grey So thought this might be a way to add a splash of colour...

I don't know how old your baby is but you will definitely need proper padding if it's a small one e.g. a sheepskin and/or a cosy toes. The seat is quite bare and very uncosy. The comfort pack is useless unless the child is 18 - 24 months + imo

I got a powder pink comfort pack for my Techno as I wasn't keen on the black pads. You can see the cushion behind DD's head and the coloured straps (she's 4 months) so it's worth it from that point of view as you will see them.

However, I think I'm now on the slippery slope and thinking or ordering crimson as well! Then maybe the stripey...

Thankyouandgoodnight, I'm not sure what you mean - do you mean that I would need proper padding instead of the comfort pack?

it depends on the age of your little one I think. We had ours from newborn age and we ended up taking the comfort pack off because it was like a 'too thick' pillow and putting a sheepskin on to make it soft to lie on and a cosy toes as a fixed on blanket arrangement (loose blankets keep falling off and then you're hunting the streets for it). The seat is not padded AT ALL and the comfort pack is essentially the pillow bit isn't it?
