Need help now - longish car journey for newly potty trained toddler

My dd is 2.7 and on monday decided she wanted to stop wearing nappies. She's totally dry when it comes to wee, but we're still working on poos. However, today we have to do a 2hr drive, and I'm sure she'll fall asleep during it. I'm not convinced she won't wet herself whilst sleeping, but I'm not sure if putting a nappy on her before we set off is the best option? Should I just line her car seat with a towel or something? I know she can get a little upset if she does wet herself, but she also is quite outspoken about not wearing nappies .

Sounds a good idea to put a towel or something on her seat (maybe a plastic bag under a nice thick towel.)

Put a potty in the boot in case there is a layby when she says she needs to wee and don't give her too much to drink before you set off.

I bet she'll surprise you and be fine and if not, it's not the end of the world. Good luck.

My little boy is also newly trained and I have gotten him into the habit of having a wee in the toilet before we go on any car journey. I also put a plastic bag under a towel on his car seat just in case! Good luck
