DD will have 3 brothers but no sister

We have just found out that we are expecting our 4th and final baby, a little boy. We already have 2 boys who are super close and do everything together and then a little girl. Tbh I was really hoping for another little girl for my DD so she could experience having a sister.

We always wanted a big family and are grateful to be lucky enough to have 4 kids but I can’t help but feel a bit sad for my little girl, that out of 4 kids she will be getting 3 brothers but no sister.

Does anyone have 3 DS and 1DD? And what has it being like with this combination for your DD? Has your DD ever asked about wanting a sister or felt left out?

I am one of 3. I have two brothers. Has never bothered me not having a sister. Plus no gaurentee they would even get along. My husband and his brother are not close at all. I wouldn’t worry about it

I grew up as the girl with 2 older brothers and 1 younger brother. Loved it and still do! I never felt I missed out by not having a sister and feel very lucky. Don't worry OP. Brothers are great!

This is my husbands siblings - B B G B. He was very close to his sister growing up. Still good friends but we live abroad. She’s very close to 1 of her other brothers too.

You know this is all about your expectations of her having a positive relationship with a sister which isn’t guaranteed. Don’t speak to mine.

You don’t love your siblings because of their gender but who they are as a person. I have both brother & sisters but am closest to my brother we have more in common, shared interests etc. Husband has a sister & never see her he can’t stand her.

I have BBBG. She is loved, happy, brave, can talk to anyone, can stand up to anyone and happily has lots of girl friends Its a great mix

I have BGBB. My daughter loves being the only girl in a family of brothers. She is 22 now and gets on well with both men and women. She is super close to her middle brother and gets on well with the other two. Not having a sister is a complete non issue. Maybe it helps that I am from a BGB family so had no expectations of sister-sister relationships. Honestly, it's great and you don't need to worry!

As PPs say, it will all work out. My DM has 4 sisters. Some of them are really close and some of them are not. Some of them have never been close.

I’ve got two brothers, never wanted a sister. I get on really well with my brothers and it gave me an insight growing up on what boys could be like. I’ve never taken any crap from boyfriends thanks to them.

I had 3 boys and then a girls, the younger 2 are far closer than any of the boys are. I really wouldn't worry.

If a third brother is the worst thing that has ever happened to your daughter, then she's doing okay! Congratulations on your pregnancy.

I have close family who are BBBG. It has been fine, and mum/daughter have a super strong bond.

I have this.. two boys who are really close in age and very close friends. Then a girl and lastly a little boy. She absolutely loves her little brother and loves being the only girl. She will never have to share a bedroom and no hand me downs for her!

I am the only girl of 4 siblings. Never once wished I had a sister or felt I was missing out. Don't overthink it. She will have the life she has and the siblings she has - I love all my brothers hugely and their wives. I am lucky.

Yes. They're all grow up now. It's all fine, really. Don't stress over it.

I’ve got two brothers, no sister. I couldn’t imagine it any other way. Never wished for a sister, I always played with my little brother.
I’m pregnant with DD2 and all I keep being told is how they’ll hate each other 😂

I have 5 brothers and have never wanted a sister. I was never treated any differently which I think has helped me overall.

i have 4 boys & a girl - my youngest son & daughter are 15 months apart and i can honestly say their double trouble!! they play together aswell as toddle around causing chaos 😂 & im currently 17weeks pregnant with our 6th child - who we found out, is yet another boy 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️🤣 admittedly like you, i was hoping it was going to be a girl so she could have a little sister but tbh what's between a baby's legs doesn't matter - aslong as their healthy thats all that does ❤️
