7 month old not interested in solids at all

My LG is 7 months and not remotely interested in solids. EBF up to now and still wanting as much milk as ever before. We’ve been weaning for about a month now. She picks food up and squishes it but won’t bring it to her mouth (she can bring toys to her mouth so she is able to). She’s more interested in her bib and the spoon. We have tried BLW, purées, the whole lot, and at all times of day including before and after milk. She will sometimes accept a few spoons of something but doesn’t look excited for more. Sometimes she just giggles at me and blows raspberries with the food in her mouth so it all comes back out and none of it gets eaten. I wouldn’t say there is one particular food she loves. She really liked tasting an orange that I held, and shows interest when I’ve got food out the house - excitedly kicked her legs when I was eating a croissant in a coffee shop so she had a lick of that 😂

How worried do I need to be? NCT mums are saying their babies are on two or three meals a day and eating half or more, we are honestly nowhere near that and I’m feeling anxious about it because I hope she will be on three meals before I return to work in October

You can't force her to eat so don't stress about it, just keep offering and she'll get there when she's ready. If I were you then I would keep it simple while she's learning, so offer milky porridge, fruit and veg purees, and maybe some low sugar rusks while she gets the idea of feeding herself. Sit her with you at meal times so she can watch you eat (even if she doesn't eat herself) and offer a bit of what you're having if she looks interested. She will definitely get there!

Having a routine really helped us. Same time every day, same chair, bib, bowl, spoon etc. He soon understood it was meal time.

My 10 month old was interested, now he won't touch it. So frustrating but we have to be patient, it'll happen. Just keep trying different things. My son seems to hate the high chair now, feeding him on my lap sometimes works but really don't want to get into that habit. Plenty of time for you until baby is 1 xx
