Hi all, my lovely little 4 day old DC2 is leaking through every nappy sometimes even after an hour. I have tried downsizing and upsizing nappies (originally in size 1 pampers), upsizing his vest and nothing is working. The leaks are on his side / back. What am I doing wrong??

Are you pulling the frills out?

Have you tried different brands?

Boy or girl?

Leaking poo or wee?

How often do you change?

Try a different brand. No idea why but different ones suit different babies. We always used one brand with our daughter. Son came along and he leaked through them every time. Swapped brands, issue solved.

Do you make sure his penis is pointing down when youre doing the nappy?

My son needed a specific brand because he just peed so much. I read once it's common in boys. I sized up, changed brands, and pointed down

We had this with my son (17weeks now). I couldn't understand it until I was getting ready to change him and I saw urine spraying out of the side.

You need to ensure that the nappy isn't loose around his thighs once it has been done up. Also, as pp said ensure penis is pointing down when you do up the nappy.

Another reason could be the nappy size being too big.

Thanks everyone! I tried the Sainsbury’s own brand and it’s a miracle, no more leaks:)
