My son is 2.5 years old. No change in diet and never had an issue before but past week he has had severe diarrhoea going days without pooping.
when he does it has been tiny rock hard bullets. He has been laid on his tummy and trying to poop and crying. I think it’s hurting him and he can’t do it. His appetite including drink has reduced which is hard because I know liquids are needed to help.
GP prescribed movicol sachets and I cannot in the life of me get him to drink them. He knows they are in everything and spits them out. Is there anything else like a liquid I could syringe into him like a Calpol type? Tried lactulose and nothing is happening. I need something I can get into him like a medicine albeit with a fight/struggle as I can’t hide anything in food or drink, he knows and he also isn’t drinking or eating much in pain.
I have tried all the usual fruits, prunes, ice lollies etc
