My seconds child doesnt sleep. He is2. 3 years. He had no nap today eg. But has only just gone down. If he naps at nursery he wont sleep till 10 most days.
Im at my wits end.

He is a happy boy although so full of energy and loves rough play. He is going through a biting phase at nursery which means they wont cut his naps as they think he does it when he is over tired. I have tried keeping him in the room but he can climb over safety Gate and if i hold him in he gets upset and start to retch and so or try bite me!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

How much physical activity does he get? Mine needed walking twice a day at that age, just like a dog! 😂

What time does he get up @Tiredofitallagain If he's sleeping well overnight then it might just be his natural rhythm? Not all kids are 7-7!

He gets up at 6.30/7 most days.
He plays in the garden most evenings, now in this weather water and sand play and chasing bubbles and a ball! Sometimes I think it makes it worse as then he is all excited, exactly like a dog haha

I think 9pm-7:00am is a reasonable amount of sleep, especially if he also has a nap. It sounds like you got lucky with one with high sleep needs, but they're not all like that. DD is more a 10pm-8am sort of girl, although she sleeps a bit more on school days.
