When do you respond to kids party invites?

Hey, my first time planning a birthday party for my son so i stupidly didn’t put a rsvp by date on the invite. He invited his 5 friends from his nursery but only 2 have responded (1 coming) and the party is in 13 days. I have the number of his best friend mum from her party invite earlier this year, should I chase up if she got the invite or give it more time? Im just worried because his nursery friends are some of his favourite friends that he talks about lots so it’ll be a shame if only 1 shows up.

I respond as soon as I find the invite, which can sometimes not be for a couple weeks depending on if I clear out the bag or not. 1 week before would be more expected for parties you have to book. If at your house, maybe a bit less, 4-5 days before? I think if it’s still 2 weeks away, it’s too soon to be chasing people, but if you are speaking too them anyway, it’s fine to ask.

Straight away or very soon after. If I don’t know the answer straight away (share custody of DD) I’ll still respond quickly and say I’ll let them know soon as I can.

Straight away, as in on the way home from school after my child’s been handed it. I’m pretty certain that I’m the first person to respond to every party we’ve been invited to 😂

i have never had written invites handed to me or my dc…we always have WhatsApp invites and then I respond straight away and put it in the calendar. Job done
