When we are at home I find my 6 year old DD bored ALL the time and I’m so fed up with it. She does lots of activities out of school (swimming, gymnastics, tennis) but when we have a “quieter” day at home, she just can’t seem to occupy herself. She spends most of the day winding up her younger brother & deliberating messing up her bedroom. She had her birthday recently & got loads of toys & games & craft stuff but she will not settle & play with those. I involve her in meal prep which she enjoys & I will do some reading with her but she will not sit on her own & just read a book. Her constant seeking attention is really difficult & whilst I plan activities out of the house as much as I can, we can’t be be out all of the time! She is clearly bored & in need of stimulation. Does anyone else have any suggestions of any age related activities that I could try? Thank you!
