Pre school teacher leaving gifts?

My child will be leaving his pre school in July as he’s off to school in September. I’m wondering what to get as thank you gifts for the staff? I have another child starting there in September too so will still be seeing the staff a lot for another couple of years!

He has a key worker who he loves, and I get regular updates from on what he’s doing. And then there’s the rest of the staff (about 5/6 others).

I was thinking maybe a candle or something for his key worker, then a big box of chocolates/biscuits for the rest that they can share. Does this sound ok? Or any suggestions for something better?

Thanks in advance

If I am being honest I think gifts for all the staff are a bit unnecessary and would only gift to someone who had really made a difference to the child’s school life.

Rather than a candle I would probably give a gift voucher. to a bookstore or something.

Following this to steal ideas!

Last year (I get the staff something every year and don’t begrudge a treat for the people who are taking good care of my boy so I can work), I got the staff a voucher for a cafe that’s very close to the nursery.

They’re always in and out of the place for their lunch so I thought I’d cover the bill, so to speak. They really enjoyed it, so maybe something like that if there’s a place nearby?

Get your son to write/draw on the card. I’ve read loads of times that a thing directly from the child means the most.
