Just wanted a bit of advice or to see what other parents do.

My step daughter stays with us EOW, she’s 14 years old and whenever she is with us. She often doesn’t clean up after herself, I usually clean her room before she comes but the mess that is made in the space of a couple of days means it’s usually half a days job to get it back to normal.

I am heavily pregnant and my partner works long distance. This often means I take responsibility for the housecleaning but as you can imagine takes a lot longer than usual to get done.

I just wanted to know if it would be a reasonable request at 14 years old to ask her to keep on top of keeping her room clean whilst she is with us?

Yes, but your husband had to enforce it not you.

With fair warning remove privileges if she doesn’t (again, him not you)
