German speakers, please help ds German homework.

Ds has to answer some questions about a book they are reading in school. It's about a boy in a train who hides his money in an envelope by pinning it to the inside of his jacket. So how does he write that in German? The question is how does the boy hide his money? Ds gets himself all worked up and refuses all my suggestions - he starts to make it all complicated but he trusts mumsnet!

What's the relevant sentence in German? I can't think how you would say 'pinning to the inside of his jacket'

DaddyJ , that is perfect, ds accepts the phrase!! Yes it is Emil und die Detektive. Our efforts were much more complicated and long and probably wrong endings everywhere!

Roll on ds getting in the bilingual Gymnasium so atleast half his stuff is in English!

No califrau, we haven't got it in English and you have yet another reason to be full of joy and thankfullness that you left Germany before your boys had to do things like this!!
