Has anyone used the egg pram as a double?

I have both icandy orange and an egg, I’m debating which one to use as a double, could anyone please advise how the egg is as a double? I’m aware the egg is a lot more compact than the icandy so not sure if it would be cramped and heavy

I used the Egg2 (assuming it's pretty similar to the original or the 3) as a tandem for a bit when my second was born.

I didn't love it, it's so long it felt like pushing a bus. I also didn't like that you had to have the bassinet facing away from you when pushing it so you can't easily see the baby. I avoided using it as much as possible and either had the toddler on the buggy board or had the baby in the sling and toddler in a pushchair.

I never bothered buying a second seat to use in tandem, once baby outgrew the bassinet I bought a second hand Phil and Ted's.

I haven't tried any other tandem prams so those points might be the same for others.
