Oh dear surprised I wasn't arrested for shoplifting today

I took DD to Clarks to buy some new shoes today. In the middle of it all she announced she needed a wee wee. The staff there wouldnt let her use their loos (something to do with health and safety) so I grabbed her and left the store at a run making for the Macdonalds down the road we reached the toilet just in time.

I rushed back to Clarks only to look down and realise she was wearing the shoes she'd been trying on and we hadn't paid for.

Fortunately the staff seemed quite understanding even though the security alarm had obviously gone off when I'd gone out.

Anyone else shoplifted (or worse) in the name of toilet training or am I alone in being so sinful?

Blimey, if only you hadn't gone back! Their fault for being sniffy about the damn loos - if you sell shoes for two to three year olds, you have to take into account that they might need the loo in a hurry.

Ds half-inched a whole tray of chewing gum from Sainsbury's once - got a shock when I looked down at the buggy and saw it on his lap!
