i have my dreaded exam in the morning and have barely managed any revision through havin gno childcare for past fortnight (cm holiday) and no motivation. i have tried so hard to read the book it will be based on and fall asleep everytime i find time.
so am hoping i just scrape a pass through waffling, i think that may be optimistic of me though

Good Luck. I have just finished my course for this year. No exams thou just regular assesments.

SubRosa · 21/05/2008 15:12

You CAN pass through waffling. I lost a week's revision time last year, thru having a vile stomach bug, I still managed to get a 2.1 for that module, despite spending 3 hours writing complete drivel.

Good luck for tomorrow

What's it on Dylsmum? Perhaps we can help you?

I also have an exam tomorrow.

I have done NO revision. Luckly the marks I've had for my essays in the module have been high enough that it doesn't matter if I fail.

Still will be embarassing to sit there for 2 hours with nothing to write.

dylsmum1998 · 21/05/2008 18:24

lol @ Mia exactly my thoughts on mine. such a bad attitude though isnt it- naughty students Good Luck

its on child development. i'm ok on things which affect a childs development as long as i'm not expected to remember the names and spell them correctly . but i keep muddling the theorists up i keep calling the super ego, ID and Ego one Piaget, yet i know its not him! the right names just will not stay in my head. i've always been hopeful with names, i still dont know everyone in our classes names and i like them and talk to them most days- let alone someone who died yonks ago!!

sub Rosa thats a great mark. tbh i'd be happy with a third for this. its the first exam i've done since my GCSE's a long time ago!

Dylsmum, thx for that, although I bet you'll get more than a third

MiaWallace · 22/05/2008 11:17

How did it go dylsmum?

Mine wasn't as bad as expected. Managed to write some stuff. Not hopeful of passing though

dylsmum1998 · 22/05/2008 14:24

no way near as bad as i expected! i had been stressing that i had to write for 30 mins per question, i'd never manage to write that much- i was still going when they said put your pen down ( just finisheing off last sentance.)
not sure if i wrote enough theory to pass but i've written loads (whether examiners can read it to mark is another q

what was your on?

have been for a chinese with the girls afterwards. been in king enough to have a shower, it was fixed this morning as i left

Glad it went well. Fingers crossed.

Mine was something to the effect

  • Consider how the last century of education has influenced current government policies?

it was a nasty question to answer, but managed somehow. Thankfully first year is now complete.

dylsmum1998 · 22/05/2008 20:40

oh not nice you just had the one q?
i had 4, am hoping that it is better that way as each one is 1/4 of the mark, so if i screwed one up, the other 3 will help pull me through- however if i screwed all 4 up- well it will be yr 1 here i come again

Been trying to find this for most of the night Dylsmum. Glad it went better than you expected. I'm still doing my dissertation but need to cram in some studying for my exam on 3rd June. It's 3 hours long and on emotional intelligence/literacy and reggio emilia.

Have done nothing but I would rather be squeezing this big assignment out of the way before the baby comes and fit the 3 hours in somewhere else than concentrate on that and then worry that I won't get time with a newborn to finish my dissertation.

Isn't ego, id and all that Freud (I'll be impressed if that's right lol)?

MiaWallace · 23/05/2008 07:53

Yeah just the one question. Sounds easier but it its wrong then it wrong. No making up for it with other questions.

Lazylou, you are right. It is Freud

Lazylou · 23/05/2008 10:12

Mia, I'm sure it went ok. The question you had sounds quite interesting, I bet you could have written all day! Honestly, try not to worry. Any idea when you will find out the results?

And I am really impressed that I knew the Freud thing. Don't know anything of his theory but recognised those words.
