My daughter’s dad refused to return our baby to me in 2019 when she was 5 months old, and took me to court because he wanted 50/50 custody. While in court I suggested he have her every other weekend, one evening a week for tea, and every other Thursday overnight (on the weeks he doesn’t have her on the weekend). The judge agreed to what I suggested. My ex then asked for half of the school holidays too, which was fair and the judge agreed.
I paid £10,000 going through the court system, my ex spent roughly the same I think. Ever since, my daughter’s dad has changed days and times regularly, cut his time back when he lost his driving licence, and now says that he can’t have her for half of the holidays because he has to work and doesn’t have enough annual leave. I have to work too. It’s so frustrating that he wanted to have 50/50 but he doesn’t even stick to what the court ordered.
I feel like the £20,000 we spent in court could have been spent on our daughter. Is there anything I can do, or shall I just leave him to it?
sorry for the rant
